Sweet Treat Cups and Sweet Centers Stamp

These two cards use the Sweet Centers stamp set and Sweet Treat cups featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog on pages 6 and 7. I think these are so much fun! I used marshmallows for my inspiration in the hot air balloon card and coordinated the paper to match them.

Vintage Ornament Case

One of the benfits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is access to the demo only website where we get the first peak at new ideas and training videos. This card was featured as one of our gifts. The reason I was so excited about it, is that my mom just bought the Decor Elements stencils called, Vintage Ornaments (which are featured on this card). I love learning new ways to show the versality of SU's products. She was going to use them to decorate packages. Then, Stampin' Up! used Angela McKay's (www.northshorestamper.com)swap as an example of how to use the stencils to make a card. We are going to make this at November's stamp club. It uses the masking technique.Directions can be found on Angela's blog at:
I changed mine around a bit because I didn't have some of the same stamps. My recipe for this card is:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Kraft
Ink: Soft Suede, Rich Rzzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Platinum Shimmer Paint
Stamps: the "Merry Christmas: is from the Loads of Love, the snowflake is from Sweet Season, and holly berry and stem is from the Give Thanks stamp in the Holiday Best set
Accessories: Vintage Ornament Stencil,Rhinestone Brad, sponge, sponge sauber

Give Thanks

We made this tri-fold shutter card at my last watercolor technique class. I cased it from Pepesmom on Stampin' Addicts. This uses the Stampin Up! Designer Series Paper, Autumn Meadows and the Country Morning Stamp set. The images were stamped on Stampin' Up watercolor paper and I used re-inkers and an aqua painter to give it the vibrant colors.
Start with a piece of 5 1/2 x 12 inch cardstock. Score it horizontally at 2, 4, 8 and 10 inches. Turn it on it's side and measure in 1 1/2 inches. Cut between the 2 and 10 inch score marks. Repeat on the other side. Fold and embellish as desired. There is a great photo tutorial at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/trishuttercard/ Thanks for looking!

Mini Cat Charming Charm Insert

I am so excited about the Simply Adorned charms in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I had a friend ask me if I could make a 1 1/2 by 2 inch charm insert for her friend who likes quilting and cats. This is what I came up with. This stamp set is soooo old that I can't even find it by googling it. If anyone can tell me the year this stamp set came out I will make and mail you this charm insert for free! The stamp set is a Stampin' Up! set of 4, called Mini Cats and it's mounted on foam instead of wood. I also used the set Charming along with it.
Stamps: Mini Cats, Charming
Inks: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Mellow Moss, Pretty in Pink
Papers: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot Magnetic Die, Curly Label Punch, Blender Pen, Linen Thread, Embroidery thread, Paper Piercer
Additional Categories: Simply Adorned

Built with My Digital Studio

This is my first digital card made with My Digital Studio. I used the designer template so I didn't even have to think to create it. MDS did all the work. I just added a couple of stamps and chaged the greeting. Don't you just love how the staples look real! Contact me to schedule a training session and create a digital card for free.

Charm Insert

Simply Adorned charms are lockets--they open up so you can insert your custom stamped image. The Charming stamp set, along with Rub-Ons, glitter, ribbons, and other embellishments, can help you create your unique charm insert. And don't forget that you can embellish the chains with ribbon, felt flowers . . . the possibilities are endless! The frame surrounds tempered beveled glass on the front and flat glass on the back. Because there's glass on both sides of the charm, you can display an image on one side or both. You can create a custom heirloom piece that you'll never want to change, or you can swap artwork in and out, depending on your mood and your wardrobe.

And although SU designed Simply Adorned charms to be jewelry, they also make delightful key chains or Christmas tree ornaments. Insert a stamped image or photo of your loved ones, tie a ribbon through the clasp, and you're done!

Here are a couple of charm inserts that I made for a swap which are 1 and 1/4 inches.
