Spooky Night Fall Recipe Book for College Care Package

Every October I send my college son a care package with pumpkin bread and Halloween treats. I thought it would be fun to include a Fall Recipe book with his favorite Fall recipes like Mom's chili, Touchdown Taco Dip and Beef Stew.
I got the idea from an old Holiday Recipe book which was created by Kelly Acheson for Craft Project Central. It's created by cutting two pieces of cardstock 6" x 6" and scoring each at 6" and 6 1/2". Then you slide the two pieces together and adhere them to create the trifold book. I've embellished the book with the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper, the Spooky Cat Stamp and the new 7/8" striped ribbon. The title is created with Amy Tangerine Thickers.  The embellishment on the inside right panel was CASE'd from Lauren Alarid at her Crafty Little Peach blog.

I created the accordion recipe card holder by adhering 8 Very Vanilla envelopes together. Fold the envelope flap backwards so that it is touching the front of the envelope where you would put the address. Attach the first envelope to the center panel. I applied 3 lines of Tear n Tape to the bottom of the flap and the bottom of the envelope. Attach the rest of the envelopes the same way. Each envelope is only adhered to each other with the Tear n Tape at the bottom and on the flap. Before attaching the last envelope, cut of the flap and punch out the front center with half of 1 1/4" circle punch and embellish with ribbon.
The recipe card mat is 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the Very Vanilla piece is 1/4" smaller on each side. If you have longer recipes you can cut out that piece like a card,  then fold it and attach for more pages.

Thanks for stopping by. What are your favorite Fall recipes?
