We Create Blog Hop - Step it Up February!

Hello February! Welcome to our Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who create a simple project and then a “stepped up” version on the first of every month. There are two Stampin' Up! events happening now: the 2018 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalogs are live. The Sale-a-Bration (SAB) catalog offers free items that you can get with either a $50 or $100 purchase. You can click on the image on the right to upload a PDF version of each catalog. I'm featuring the Heart Happiness stamp and lovely Valentine's treat boxes stepped up with the new Brusho Crystal Colours.
My simple treat box features the Mini Pizza Boxes (144645), just the right size for holding a cookie, 3" x 3" note cards or Valentine's candy. I created a clean Whisper White panel. I made the heart strip on the bottom with the die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. The two larger hearts were cut out with the Sweet and Sassy Framelits which coordinate with the Heart Happiness stamp set.

Have you heard of Brusho Crystal Colour (144101)? You might miss it if you don't look carefully at page 26 of the Occasions Catalog. I created these stepped up boxes by first cutting out the larger heart and using it as a mask with repositionable tape. Brusho's are watercolor ink crystals. I just sprinkled red Brusho very lightly onto the paper and sprayed with water in a diagonal direction and let dry. I added an even tinier bit of yellow and sprayed with water. Once dry, I removed the heart mask and adhered at an angle to look like it is gently falling. The Valentine's sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Each one is a little bit different. I created some Valentine's Day tags to go along with the treat boxes . . .
I created a mask again with the heart and sprinkled on the Brusho Colours, sprayed with water and let dry. Once dry, I stamped the heart clusters from the Heart Happiness set using Real Red, and stamping off once for a lighter effect.

I hope you enjoyed my creations. Please leave a comment and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you so much for stopping by! To see what the other bloggers' stepped up cards look like, hop on over to my creative friend Julie's blog, See Julie Stamp by clicking the Next Blog button below:

  1. OMG, what ridiculously cute boxes! I'd almost be too sad to give those away...they would have to go to people I really LOVE ;-) Thanks for sharing your creativity!
