Altered Candle

I covered this vanilla candle jar with Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, Holiday Lounge and added the snowflake from the Sweet Seasons set. I liked these colors and thought it could be set out throughout the winter and not just for Christmas. The DSP is actually Tempting Turquois, but I stamped the snowflake with Bermuda and thought it matched well. The ribbon is Sage Shadow.

Brown Bag Hot Chocolate Card

Isn't this cute! I cased this from Krista Tesky's Warm & Sweet Winter Wishes layout on the SU Demo Site Holiday Gift Exchange Challenge. All you need to do is cut the top off of a brown lunch sack to 8 1/2 inches and fold in half to create an opening for the hot chocolate packet. Then stamp away with random snowflakes. You know you have some. You know you can't wait to make this. Here are a couple of versions. One with stamping and one with SU DSP (Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper)from the Holiday Mini.

Baby Christmas Tree

I just had to post a pic of this Christmas tree I decorated for our Maternity Store. If you look closely you will see pacifiers and safety pins adorning the tree. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Gift Tags

This idea was so cute I CAS'd (copy and shared) Marie Shaughnessy's design. This set uses the Christmas Punch stamp set and the medium celephane bags. I used a top note die at the top of the bag and the ornament punch with the Delightful Decorations stamp set found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The last chance to order from this catalog is January 4th, so hurry so you can get this cute set along with the punch for your Holiday collection. You can order online at and have it shipped to you within 5-7 days.

Cappuccino Truffle Card

I love making these shutter tri fold cards! Here is one I made for a winter themed swap. I used the big shot die to make a pocket for a recipe for Cappuccino Truffles.

Cappuccino Truffles

1 tablespoon boiling water
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon divided
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
6 squares (1 ounce each) bittersweet chocolate chopped
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons sugar

In a small bowl, combine water, coffee and 1 tsp. cinnamon; set aside. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Remove from the heat; whisk in chocolate and butter until smooth. Stir in coffee mixture. Press plastic wrap onto surface. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
In a small bowl, combine sugar and remaining cinnamon. Shape chocolate into 1 inch balls; roll in cinnamon sugar. Refrigerate for least 2 hours or until firm. - Taste of Home Magazine

Sweet Treat Cup Slider Card

Here is a sweet card I made for my stamp club swap. I've been wanting to make a slider card, where you slide open the back to remove the treat without tearing up the card. This was so easy. After placing the treat cup where you want it, you place a pocket (taping the top and bottom) about half way over the opening. For this card I used a tag as my slider. You slide out the tag to remove the candy. Pretty easy!
