My Inky Friends Thankful For Blog Hop

November is a month of gratitude with Thanksgiving coming soon! Today I'm blog hopping with My Inky Friends where we are sharing Stampin' Up! products that we are thankful for. What are you thankful for as a customer or demonstrator?

Should you get lost during the blog hop, you can find a list of participants on the My Inky Friends blog page.  You may have arrived from Sharlene's Blog, Stamp with Shar. I'm thankful for Embossing Paste! It's so much fun and adds such texture and depth. Be sure to read all the way to the end and click the Next Blog to visit Rhonda, the Stampin' Bunny. She's my upline and she is very thankful for the Stamparatus!

Stampin' Up! sells three different kinds of embossing paste; Shimmery White, White and Silver. You can dye them with reinkers, but I used all three in their natural state. I was inspired by Tina Zinck to make this shadow box ornament using the mini pizza box. I used the Dashing Deer Bundle. The sentiment is from the Labels to Love stamp set.

I used the Shimmery White embossing paste for the snow. I spread it on thick and dried it with the Heat Tool. For the background piece (which is the piece that I saved when I cut out the top of the box), I spread a thick amount of embossing paste directly onto the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot. I love how the sparkles pressed into the piece. Do you see the little snow balls on the front of the ornament? I used the stylus end of the Take Your Pick tool to dot the embossing paste on the front. It dries quickly on it's own, but you can dry it with heat tool as well.
Here's a little ornament I made featuring the plain white embossing paste. I was inspired by Emma Goddard's ornament on Instagram. I got the plastic ornament at the Dollar Store. I stamped and die cut four trees from the Ready for Christmas Stamp Set and Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies. Just fold the trees in half down the center and glue the sides together. Doesn't the "snow" look cute around the edge of the mini tag and the tree! I just love it.
This tag features the Silver Embossing Paste. I used a mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and spread the silver embossing paste on with a palette knife. The deer is cut out from the Galvanized Metallic Paper with the Detailed Deer Thinlits Die. The sentiment is from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and it's embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. The gift bag is created with the Gift Bag Punch board and Festive Farmhouse DSP.

Thank you for stopping by! Please say hello and leave a comment. I'd love to hear what you are thankful for! Click the Next button below to see what Rhonda from The Stampin' Bunny created with the Stamparatus.

We Create Gratitude Blog Hop

Welcome to the Gratitude Blog Hop, brought to you by the We Create Team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators! Thanks for joining us as we feature current Stampin' Up! paper, ink, stamps and embellishments from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog. I'm featuring the Sheltering Tree stamp set.
My inspiration came from a beautiful card I saw on Pinterest made by Shannon Horch. Click the link on the sidebar if you'd like to follow my Stampin' Up! Pinterest board.

The branches are stamped in Crumb Cake.  I colored the leaves directly onto the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers in Mango Melody, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green.  I spritzed the stamp with water before stamping onto Watercolor Paper. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, Sheltering Tree and I used Early Espresso on a woodgrain strip from the Festive Farmhouse DSP.

It's accented with the Braided Linen Thread. Here's a close up photo of the Braided Linen Thread, courtesy of Stampin' Up! It's so soft and you can fray the edges for some fun effects, as you will see on the second card.
I used the coordinating colors from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper pack for my inspiration here (Gray Granite, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow, and Whisper White.) I used the same technique as above, except I used Whisper White cardstock instead of watercolor paper. The "you're the best" sentiment on the front of the card is from the P.S. You're the Best Stamp Set. I stamped the inside with a sentiment from the Dashing Deer stamp set.
Thanks for visiting our blog hop! Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you! Click the Next Button below to leave Oklahoma to go visit Anastasia's blog, Stampin' Blondie in Arizona!

Warm Hearted Halloween Card Swap

Every other month I participate in a Stampin' Up! Cards in the Mail Swap. I thought it would be fun to use the Warm Hearted Hostess Stamp Set. This set includes sentiments for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year! The background Night of Navy DSP with the stars is from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP. The little frame with the stars was created using the Festive Farmhouse DSP from the Holiday Catalog. The Galvanized Metallic Paper was embossed with the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder.
Here's a close up of the elements. I stamped three of the skulls and cut them out by hand. The bubbles were stamped with Granny Apple Green and I added three Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets. The little Spider Trinket is stuck on with a glue dot and a piece of Linen Thread. I created the frame and the circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.
This is a hostess stamp set which means you can purchase it when you earn Stampin' Rewards by purchasing $150 or more or hosting a party with $150 or more in sales. If you'd like to purchase from me I'd be delighted! You can order online from www.krisk.stampinup.net. There is a one day sale starting tomorrow to celebrate SU's 30th birthday! Details below.

We Create Halloween Blog Hop

It's October 1st! Thanks for joining the We Create Team for a Halloween Blog Hop featuring current Stampin' Up! paper, ink, stamps and embellishments from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog. I'm featuring the Lined Alphabet Bundle paired with some fun embellishments from the Holiday Catalog.
Isn't this fun! I played with all of my new supplies on this card. Here's what's new: Spider Trinkets, Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Galvanized Metallic Paper, Spooky Bat Punch and the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.
The card base is Night of Navy. I added a mat with the starry piece of the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.  I embossed the metallic paper with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder and distressed it by sponging on some black Memento ink.

I stamped the letters for the word "boo!" with Smoky Slate onto Shimmery White cardstock.  I used an Aqua Painter to color in the letters with Night of Navy, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. Once the letters were dry I flicked on the Frost White Shimmer Paint using the Aqua Painter and the lid of the paint. I cut them out with the coordinating Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies. The Lined Alphabet Stamp Set and Layering Edgelits Dies come in a bundle and save 10% when purchased together as a bundle (148390)
I can't get enough of the Galvanized Metallic Paper.  This time I embossed it with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added the sentiment from Spooky Sweets.  If you want to leave a word off of a stamp, just cover it with Scotch tape, ink the stamp, remove the tape and stamp. I stamped the letters for the word "treats" onto the new Black Foil Sheets using Versamark and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I love how it coordinates with the metalic paper. Clear Faceted Gems finish it off.

Sweet Baby Diaper Cake

I recently hosted a baby shower for my sweet friend, Jill. I embellished this simple diaper cake using the Sweet Baby Bundle from Stampin' Up! and the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. The bundle includes the Sweet Baby Stamp set and the Bouncing Baby Framelits dies and saves you 10% when you purchase them together as a bundle.

To create a diaper cake, just roll up a baby blanket for the center of the cake, which is your base and tie the blanket in a roll with ribbon. Starting with the bottom of the cake, roll each diaper around the blanket and tie with a ribbon. I used three layers on the bottom, two layers in the middle and one layer on the top.

Aren't these bouncing babies the cutest!! I stamped them onto Whisper White cardstock with the Sweet Baby stamp in Memento ink and and cut them out with the coordinating Bouncing Baby Framelits die. I used the Stampin' Blends to color them in. The Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper coordinates with Gray Granite, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.

Finish off the cake with by tying on ribbons and pacifiers. Thanks for stopping by! You can order the bundle from me if you like by clicking HERE.

We Create Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Summer Blog Hop! Join our hop as the We Create Design Team shares ideas for those special summer celebrations using current Stampin' Up! products. I'm featuring the Very Vintage stamp set on page 227 of the Annual Catalog. This stamp set coordinates with the Darling Label Punch Box on page 209.
This Very Vintage stamp set reminds me of a summer garden. I love the realistic looking bumble bee in this set. My inspiration for this card came from page 226 of the 2018-2019 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog.
I used a happy and bright color combo of Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove and Granny Apple Green. The Whisper White flowers were cut out from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Die along with the die cut Poppy Parade flowers with the Basic Pearl centers. The Granny Apple Green leaves were die cut from the Everyday Jars Framelits dies.
I used the extra pieces to create a simple coordinating gift tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The matching Grapefruit Grove twine comes in a set of four with the Nature's Twine set.

My Inky Friends Carnival of Colors Blog Hop

The Stampin' Up! color revamp has brought a rainbow of new colors to our palette! I'm blog hopping with My Inky Friends to bring you a carnival of colors. Should you get lost during the blog hop, you can find a list of participants on the My Inky Friends blog page.  You may have arrived from Holly's blog, Rubber Redneck, where she featured Balmy Blue.  I'm excited to show you the star of my creation, Blackberry Bliss.

The Abstract Impressions Bundle saves you 10% and includes the Abstract Impressions stamp set and the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies (page 129).  Die cut the flowers using watercolor paper. Color and splatter various shades of Blackberry Bliss using reinker and an Aqua Painter. Once dry, carefully glue it to a Very Vanilla mat.  Stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and die cut with the oval from the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies. Finish it off with a piece of Blackberry Bliss twine from, Nature's Twine.
I love using re-inkers to get different shades of the Blackberry Bliss color. I just put a small drop on my craft mat and use a very wet Aqua Painter to drip the color onto my paper. I used Very Vanilla cardstock for my background. The thank you sentiment is stamped onto watercolor paper with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I did an emboss resist wash over the words with the Blackberry Bliss re-inker diluted with the Aqua Painter. The Basket Weave Embossing Folder enhances the card base.
Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron are just beautiful together. I cased this layout from a card on page 128 of the Annual Catalog. It's full of beautiful photos and samples.
