My Inky Friends Blog Hop: Time to Sale-a-Brate!
Welcome to My Inky Friends' Blog Hop! This month's
blog hop features the brand new Sale-a-Bration Catalog. Sale-a-Bration (SAB) is Stampin' Up's annual event where you earn free items from the SAB catalog with every $50 or $100 spent. SAB runs from January 3 - March 31st. Should you get lost during the blog hop, you may find a list
of participants on the Inky Friends blog page.
You may have arrived from Twila's blog, Stamp a Little Longer, where she featured the Happy Wishes SAB set. I'm featuring the cool and trendy Epic Celebrations stamp set found on page 12 of the SAB catalog. It's free with any $50 purchase.
I used this fun color combo of Tranquil Tide, Soft Sky, Night of Navy and Whisper White. This card would be great for a teenager and would work for a boy or a girl.
Here's a look at how I assembled all of the pieces. First I stamped the shoes with Memento on Night of Navy cardstock and colored them with a Whisper White watercolor pencil. I cut out random circles with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. The laced piece is a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" strip of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. I punched 6 holes with my Crop-a-Dile, added some white eyelets from my stash and laced the piece with Solid White Baker's Twine.
I stamped the sentiment by coloring on the stamp with Tranquil Tide and Night of Navy Stampin' Write markers. The featured shoes are stamped with Memento and colored with a Basic Gray watercolor pencil.
I decorated the inside with extra pieces cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. The inside sentiment is stamped the same way as as the sentiment on the front using Tranquil Tide and Night of Navy Stampin' Write Markers on the stamp.
This matching gift card holder was created using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies. This set looks so cute with an iTunes gift card. Just glue the bottom portion of the circle down and the gift card slides nicely in place. Can you spot where I used all 6 stamps from the Epic Celebrations set in my projects (shoes, guitar, headphones, 2 sentiments and splatter dots)?
Thank
you for stopping by. Please say hello and leave a comment. Now it's
