Love is in the Air Blog Hop

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Welcome to the Love is in the Air Blog Hop. We hope you will be inspired by our creations using Stampin' Up! products and accessories. I'm stop #3 and there are 7 stops in all. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who became friends through stamping from Oklahoma, Utah, Nevada, and Idaho. I've featured several new items from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. Enjoy the hop!

Primrose Petals and Pool Party coordinate sweetly with More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper featured in the Spring Catalog.  The new Collage Curios stamp set adorns the Soda Pop Top.

The Petal Cone Die is embellished with Creped Filter Paper (NEW) from the Spring Catalog. I randomly colored the petals using an Aqua Painter swiped on the side of a Primrose Petals Classic Stampin' Pad.  The petals were cut out with the Fun Flowers Bigz Die and I layered two petals each. They are attached with a brad in the center. A Basic Pearl is glued to the top of the brad.

The petal cone is embossed with the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate which is currently on sale in the Clearance Rack for $1.59.  Soda Pop Tops adorn both projects and they coordinate with the 1/2" and 1" Circle Punches. They are available in the Spring Catalog (16 for $3.59).
The Sending You Love card is my creation for January's Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge over at Craft Project Central. Please come back and check out my next post where I'll have a mini tutorial for you to download with instructions and a supply list for this card.

Did you know you can flatten the Soda Pop Tops with your Big Shot? Flip the top two tabs over on the Multipurpose Platform. Lay down one standard cutting pad. Place the Soda Pop Tops flat side down. Cover with the other standard cutting pad and run through the Big Shot. Thanks for hopping!

  1. I love the simple layout of your card with all of the different elements to fancy it up. Great use of the scallop circle peeking out from under the folds on the petal cone.
