Sketch Manor Shaker Card
I found a fun challenge blog, called, Double Trouble Paper Crafting and decided to play along with their Challenge #199, 3-2-1 Recipe "Sweet Surprise". The challenge is to use their 3-2-1 recipe which is: 3 layers (not including the card base), 2 images (stamps, dies or ephemera) and 1 aperture (any shape). The optional dare was to create a shaker.
To create this card, use the Tim Holtz Sketch Manor stamps with the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Sketch Manor Wafer Dies.
1.) Create a card base with Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
2.) Create a mat/base with a piece of Old Olive cardstock. Use a blending brush to work in ink, in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow on the bottom half, and Blueberry Bushel on the top half.
3.) Stamp the trees and gate with Versamark and emboss with black embossing powder. Color the tree with an Espresso Stampin' Blend marker.
4.) Spritz with water and let dry.
5.) Die cut the hole for the moon and spray Ranger Spiced Marmalade Distress Spritz around the opening. Let dry.
For the shaker:
1.) Stamp the moon onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and blend in Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry around the edges. of the moon.
2.) Cut out a square piece of acetate to place over the moon.
2.) Punch out some bats and add some sequins or stars from your stash to the center of the moon.
3.) Attach your acetate piece using foam adhesive strips.
4.) Attach this completed piece to the back of your Old Olive base.
5.) Attach the Old Olive base to your Pumpkin Pie card front.
For the Haunted House:
Stamp the Sketch Manor haunted house four times and die cut all of your layers using the Simon Says Stamp coordinating wafer dies. Color in your image by scribbling ink from Stampin' Write markers onto a glass mat and use a Blender Pen to apply the colors.
I used: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Pebbled Path, Basic Gray Smoky Slate and Pecan Pie. Ink the edges using a Sponge Dauber and black ink.
Assemble your haunted house and add to the front of the card. Stamp a sentiment. Fussy cut and attach with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used an old Rubberneckers stamp from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this spooky fun shaker card!
