Waves of Inspiration Creative Challenge SU

March's Creative Challenge from Stampin' Up! #creativechallengesu is to use Shimmery White embossing paste and use your Take Your Pick tool to draw a pattern in it before it dries. I CASE'd the card layout from Rochelle Laird-Smith, Stamping Flair. I created my background in a different way than her beautiful card HERE. Be sure to look at her card to learn different ways to use the embossing paste. The Waves of Inspiration stamp set and Waves Dies are retiring soon. HERE is a list of all the products used to make this card.
I started out with a piece of Basic White cardstock and colored it with different hues of blues with Stampin' Write Markers.
Next I used a palette knife to cover the card with Shimmery White embossing paste and dragged the cap of the Take Your Pick tool through the wet embossing paste before it dried.

I used the negative pieces from the waves dies. When I removed the die from the cutting plate, the negative pieces were stuck to the plate and I thought they looked cool!

Your turn! Give this fun technique a try and be sure to post to social media using #creativechallengesu so I can find it. Thanks for stopping by!
