Witchcraft Tim Holtz Sizzix Die With Paper Rose - Home Decor
Do you have that special piece of scrapbook paper that you don't want to cut? This 12 x 12 piece from the Paper Rose Spooky Halloween collection was the one for me. You can turn it into home decor! Use the back side of a 12 x 12 canvas and paint the inside edges black with acrylic paint. Measure 1" around the sides of your scrapbook page and draw the cutting lines on the back. Cut out the center with your paper trimmer. Use 1" double sided tape to attach the outside piece to the back of the frame and sand the edges with a sanding block.
This is the Paper Rose 12 x 12 piece before I embellished it. Find an inspiring focal point. Let's start with the Witchcraft Tim Holtz Sizzix die which was recently re-leased out of retirement.
First, die cut two witches out of Thick Basic White cardstock. You will attach your completed piece a little bit off set to your second white piece to create a highlight.
Color your witch using Stampin' Up! Classic ink pads and blending brushes, using the following colors: Basic Gray, Secret Sea, Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Pebbled Path and Crushed Curry for the broom brushes. No black is used. Secret Sea is used instead of black. Spray a thin spray of water if you would like her to have spooky water droplets and let dry. On the witch above I flicked on some gold Wink of Stella. Once you are happy with your witch, cover the entire witch with clear Versamark and emboss with clear embossing powder.
Before place your center piece in the middle of the frame, use an exacto knife and cut out the window panes. Place a piece of glow in the dark paper behind it. Pop up the center piece with dimensionals. Fussy cut some of the coordinating Paper Rose Spooky Halloween cut aparts and pop those up with dimensionals. I added some Distress Crackle paste to parts of the house. The "Keep Out" is a piece of Heidi Swapp washi tape from my stash. The October word is a retired Heidi Swapp stamp.
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you have any questions and I'd love to see what you make!
