How to Make a Tooth Fairy Pillow Using the Big Shot in 10 Steps

Recently there has been a surge of interest in quilting, making rag quilt purses and die cut flowers by cutting out fabric with the Big Shot. I had to give it a try. So, Riley lost a tooth and that gave me this idea.
Tuck the tooth inside the star. Close star with the pearl on the loop. Place inside envelope. The tooth fairy will take the wand and leave a coin behind in the envelope.
Stampin’ Up Supplies Needed:
Big Shot
Bigz Scallop Envelope Die
Bigz Clear Large Scallop Square
Magnetic Movers & Shapers Star (used with Curly Label die)
Pretties Kit Pearls
1/2 inch Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon
Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon
Other Supplies Needed:
Sewing Machine (optional)
Embroidery thread
Fleece fabric
Fabric glue (Unique Stitch)
Tombo mono liquid glue
Batting to stuff pillow
How to make it:
1. Cut out two large scallop squares with fabric. The Big Shot will cut through 8 pieces of fabric at once time. Fleece works well for beginners since the edges don’t fray.
2. Cut out one scallop envelope with fabric.
3. Cut out two stars with fabric.

4. Assemble the scallop envelope and glue with fabric glue. Let dry.
5. Fold piece of ribbon over and adhere to flap with fabric glue or glue dot. Add pearl to the front with Tombo mono liquid glue.
6. Sew the scallop envelope to one side of the scallop square along the fold of the envelope flap. It will not show when the envelope is closed.

7. Sew the back of the scallop square on three sides.
8. Stuff with batting and sew remaining edge.
9. Make star wand by gluing bottom four points of the star together. Leave the top of the star open.
10. Sew the pearl to top
of the point, making a loop
to hold the star closed when the tooth is inside. Place inside envelope and under pillow before bed.
