My Inky Friends Time to Sale-a-Brate! Blog Hop 2019

It's time to Sale-a-Brate! Today I'm blog hopping with My Inky Friends where we are sharing Stampin' Up! creations made with items from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. This brochure features products available for free with a $50 or $100 purchase. I'm featuring the Butterfly Elements, pressed wood embellishments, in butterflies, flowers and leaves.

Should you get lost during the blog hop, you can find a list of participants on the My Inky Friends blog page.  You may have arrived from Mickey's blog, Paper ConversationBe sure to read all the way to the end and click the Next Blog to visit Sara's Blog, Lily's Ink Pad, where she is featuring the Botanical Butterfly DSP.
The Butterfly Elements come with 84 pieces. I created four cards and a little embellishment for my Paper Snips. I wanted to show how you can color the wood with Stampin' Write Markers or the Stampin' Blends. I also love them natural.
The elements are light weight so they adhere easily to your cardstock using Tombow Liquid Glue.
I probably looked through the SAB brochure ten times. Then I finally noticed it! On page 8 there was a cute little tassel, attached to a string, attached to some paper snips. I had to make one! Here is my version. I used some leftover Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine and just did a simple braid. These embellishments were colored with the Stampin' Blends.

All of my layouts, except for the "forever" card were cased from the SAB brochure. I like to use the samples as a starting point and go from there with what I have on hand. Click on any of the images for a close up. Please let me know if you have any questions about specific stamps used on each card.

  5. Fabulous ideas, Kris! Love that you colored some but left others in the natural state. Especially the one with the wood background. Very striking!
