Adventurous Journey

This weekend I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches, sketch challenge #FMS578. I used the Adventurous Journey stamp set from the Stampin' Up! May 2022 - April 2023 Annual Catalog. I challenged myself to use a stamp set that I haven't used yet. The inside of the card says, "Wishing You an Adventurous Birthday."
To create the first layer, I placed drops of Stampin' Up! re-inker in Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise onto a Silicone Craft Sheet.  I sprayed the drops with water. I sprayed a piece of Watercolor Paper with water and placed it down onto the silicone craft sheet to soak up all of those beautiful swirly colors. I let that piece dry and embossed it with splatters from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folder.
Next I stamped the kayak onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  I stamped the white water swirls and embossed with white embossing powder. Next I stamped the kayak, then the fish and lily pads in the bottom right corner. I colored the image with Stampin' Blends. Then I sponged on Pacific Point all around the border coming close the kayak, but leaving some of the shimmery white showing. To finish it off I made the line doodle around the edge of the image with a Sharpie. Last, I covered the kayak with my hand and sprayed some water onto the corners to give it the watery look with the drips.

Let me know what you think! I linked some of the main supplies to my online store or you can click HERE to shop with me as your demonstrator. I earn a small commission on each sale and I truly appreciate your business!
