Wicked Swirl Card - Split Circle Technique

I saw the cutest card by Linda Mayberry, called Autumn Vibes FS969 in the Splitcoast Stampers gallery where she used this split circle technique. I just had to try it today!

I used these retired Stampin' Up! things: spider web embossing folder, Wicked dies, Bewitching stamp set and coordinating punch, and the Stitched Shapes framelets dies for the circles.

First, die cut 3 different colored circles in these nested sizes (around 1", 1-1/2" and 2"). Notice that you have to cut a large and small circle of your 2 outside colors, but only two middle size ones for the middle color. Then cut them in half.

Next align them like this and glue to the card base after you have embossed it :

Then, attach a ribbon across the center of the card to cover up the gap.

Ta da! Pretty simple. Add your sentiment and embellishments and attach it to your card base. Happy Stamping! Thanks for stopping by!
