Happy With Core'dinations Card Stock
Happy to the Core! These fun projects were made with the new Core'dinations Card Stock which is featured in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog on page 6. The added texture is amazing. The card stock features a SU color on the outside layer and a monochromatic color on the inside layer. When you sand or distress the card stock you see the layer inside. For these projects I CASE'd the August issue of Stampin' Success.
To create the HAPPY notepad holder, just measure the length of your notepad. Mine was 8" long. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 12" x 8". Using your Simply Scored, score at 3-3/4", 4", 9" and 9-1/4". I embellished the front with a strip of Core'dinations card stock in Early Espresso which I ran through the Woodgrain Embossing folder, then sanded with the Stampin' Sanding System on page 6 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. The flower on the Congratulations card was cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits Die and embossed with the same folder and sanded. I just love the letters that I used to stamp the word, HAPPY. This alphabet set is called, Morning Post on page 144 of the Idea Book and Catalog.
I also tried out the Core'dinations Dust Buddy which is a tacky cloth that removes debris from the sanding process. It removes dust from your fingers too and has a solvent built into the cloth. You can cut it the size that you want and use it over and over again. It's very interesting, has a strong odor, but is non-toxic and works wonderfully!
