Dragonfly Garden Accordion Card
Here's a fun fold card I created for a swap. I received a different card in this style from my friend Heather and cased it using the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and the Dandy Garden 6x6 Designer Series Paper pack from the January - June mini catalog. Look how cute it is when it opens! It looks hard, but it's so easy to create! The main base is Basic White and measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" with a piece of Dandy Garden DSP 5-1/4" x 4" attached. The accordion piece is Basic White 10-3/4" x 4-1/4". Score at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 5" and 7-1/2". For the decorative panels, cut a piece of DSP 4"x4". Then cut this piece into three strips measuring 1" and 2-1/4" and then you will have a remaining piece that measures 3/4".
Stamp before attaching the DSP strips. Using the Dragonfly Garden set, stamp the images on the inside bottom of accordion piece in Mossy Meadow. Use a post it note to cover the bottom before stamping so the image won't be seen in your bottom margin. It will have a cleaner look when the panels are closed. Attach the DSP strips to the accordion piece as shown. The 1" strip goes on the top fold, the 2-1/4" strip goes in the third panel and the 3/4" strip goes at the bottom. Fold up and attach to the base.
Decorate the front of your card by punching out a dragonfly from the Dandy Garden DSP using the coordinating Dragonflies Punch. The sentiment is cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. Add a little ladybug from the new Ladybug Trinkets using a glue dot.
