Valentine's Treat Holder
Happy Valentine's Day! Today I am playing along with the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge 268 #SUOC268. The theme is 3D, Tags, Boxes & Bags, Etc. I created this beautiful treat holder which fits one of these Reese's chocolate heart candy's perfectly. I used Cherry Cobbler for the base. The beautiful Designer Series Paper pack is called Flower & Field and it's a free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50 purchase. SAB lasts until February 28th. I used the stamp set called Tags Tags Tags and the coordinating die, Trio of Tags to create the Valentine tag. I die cut a piece of Black Glimmer paper and added it behind the Valentine tag for sparkle. The little dragonfly is punched out of the Dandy Garden DSP with the coordinating Dragonflies punch and attached with a mini dimensional. Here is the side view. You can see how the candy fits perfectly. Here are the measurements to create your own.
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock Base: Cut 2" x 11" and score at 5-1/8" and 5-7/8". Cut a small strip (this is the inside piece that holds the candy in place) 1" x 6" and score at 2", 2-3/4", 4-3/4" and 5-1/2". Punch both ends of the base piece using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Fold your small strip into a box and glue inside to hold the candy in.
Flower & Fields DSP: Cut 1-1/2" x 11" and score at 5-1/8" and 5-7/8". Punch both ends with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Wrap and glue this piece over the Cherry Cobbler base.
