How to Create Simple Cards with Stamps, Paper & Ink

It's Tuesday! Time for the Paper Pumpkin Alternative Tuesday Challenge. Create an alternative card using a past kit. Then, post your card to social media using #ppalttues so I can find it.
These cards are created using just the stamp set included with the July 2023 Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit. You can create simple cards using just stamps, paper and ink. You don't need a lot of supplies when you are just getting started building your stamp collection. Monthly Paper Pumpkin kits are great way to build your stamp and ink collection when on a budget. Each kit always comes with a new stamp set and a Stampin' Spot. Try #simplestamping.

This background was created by collaging the stamps onto a large clear block and stamping onto Thick Basic White cardstock in Daffodil Delight. Just fill in the white spaces with extra stamping.

Did you know?

One piece of 8-1/2 x 11" cardstock is enough to create 4 mats for the card bases. With the 11" side at the top, cut 2 pieces down at 5-1/4". Cut those pieces to measure 4-5-1/4" so that you will have four mats. You will have some 1/2" strips leftover for your sentiments.

A card base is just one 8-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock cut in half with the 11" side at the top. That gives you two card bases to just fold in half. Once folded, the card measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" to fit in a Medium envelope.

Use what you have on hand and coordinate the colors with what YOU have regarding cardstock and ink.

The Hello, Sunshine! card is on a Calypso Coral card base and the sunshines were stamped with Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral.
The Brighter Days card was stamped with Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Tahitian Tide, Azure Afternoon and Boho Blue. The card base is Calypso Coral. The main sentiment is stamped in the same color as the base for cohesiveness.

The last starfish card is stamped with Crumb Cake, Copper Clay and Pecan Pie on a Copper Clay card base. These cards are clean and simple, or you can try stepping up the cards using ink and embellishments or fussy cutting a collage of the elements.
