Mini Travel Organizer
Thanks for checking out the Paper Pumpkin Alternative Tuesday challenge! Create something using a past Paper Pumpkin kit and post to social media using #ppalttues so we can all find it. Here's a mini travel organizer using the July 2023 Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin kit.
The retired stamp set, Making Plans was used to stamp the to do lists on the note pages. Pieces of the Fun in the Sun kit were cut apart to embellish the inside and outside of the organizer. The sailboat piece on the bottom right photo is a pocket.
The accordion center can hold coupons, tickets, vouchers or anything you want to save or organize from your vacation. Little file organizers were created with colorful cardstock and a retired label punch. The days of the week were stamped with the retired Alphabet Rotary stamp.
Eight 3" x 3" envelopes are adhered together by folding the flap toward the front of the envelope where the address goes. Attach Tear 'n Tape to the bottom of the flap and the bottom of the envelope only and stack each one. Do not glue the flap down. This gives them space to fan out. See the video below.
Here are the measurements for the base of the organizer:
Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 4-3/4" x 11". With the 11" side at the top, score at 3-1/4", 3-7/8", 7-3/8" and 7-7/8". You will notice that the left spine is 1/8" bigger than the spine on the right. This is to allow room for the little sheet of notes on the inside left flap and allows it to close equally.Want to learn more about Paper Pumpkin kits?
