🌸 Simple Layered Cardmaking Tutorial with Lovely & Beautiful | Stampin’ Up! Papers, Ephemera & Dies
🌸 Lovely & Beautiful Handmade Card Tutorial
A soft, layered look featuring a new upcoming Stampin’ Up! product. Can you spot it?
There’s something magical about pairing soft colors with beautiful textures, and today’s project brings that magic to life. This handmade card features layers of specialty papers, delicate die‑cut elements, and a simple sentiment that ties everything together. Even better—you can recreate it using Stampin’ Up! supplies available directly through me!
✂️ Supplies You’ll Need
Petal Pink Cardstock (Card Base and flower outline)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (inside flower)
Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper
Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper
Fragrant Layers Dies
Stylish Shapes Dies
Purple Fine Shimmer Gems
Sincerely Noted Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (coming soon in the May catalog!)
Glue the Beautiful Bokeh panel on top of your card base.
Attach your woven punched pieces over your flower.
Add the sentiment with dimensionals.
Finish with Fine Shimmer Gems.
Mix straight and curved shapes. The punched banners and the soft floral die‑cuts look great together.
Keep the colors soft. The specialty papers already shine, so gentle background tones help everything blend beautifully.
Add a little height. Popping up the sentiment gives the card nice depth.
Let pieces overlap. Tucking the punched pieces and die‑cuts behind the sentiment adds easy movement and interest.
Use small accents. A few ephemera pieces or gems finish the card without making it too busy.

💗 Step‑by‑Step Instructions
1. Prepare Your Card Base
Cut and score Petal Pink Cardstock to create a standard A2 card base. This soft blush tone sets the perfect foundation for the layered look.
2. Add the First Layer
Cut a coordinating mat layer from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. The dreamy, blurred‑light effect adds depth without overwhelming the card. Or you can use the back side like I did here.
3. Create a Unique Focal Piece
Using the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies, die cut several banners from the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper, weaving them together to create a focal point. The gold shimmer and elegant patterns instantly elevate the design.
4. Die‑Cut Your Decorative Elements
Use the Fragrant Layers Dies to cut a floral shape using Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia. These pieces add texture and movement when layered behind your sentiment.
5. Choose Your Sentiment
Choose a sentiment from the Sincerely Noted Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (coming in May!) No stamping needed, except for the inside if you so choose.
